Cecil Harvey

An important thing to remember: Though I've taken derivitives from different canons (DS vs Advance) there are things that come from NO canon. I did not use the info from the data settings booklet in the making of this character sheet.
Name: Cecil Harvey (Lunarian Name - LuYa)
Occupation: ex-Dark Knight, Paladin, Baroni King
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 185 lbs
Born: A small village on theMysidian Coast
Residence: Vangrad, Baron
Race: Half-Lunar
Current Age: 22
Stories: Gaelach Tine, Solas Caesadh (I Have Become Hell), Gaelach Brethie, Solas Scath, Misneach Cinniuint...

History:

Cecil was born to Kale (KluYa) and Cecilia Hansen. A premature birth, his mother died in the birthing, and he would have died had it not been for the actions of his father. His father was killed by the FIred of Fire, Rubicante, when he was three. Left in the Baroni Woodland, Cecil was taken in by Thomas XVI, King of Baron and his mother's ex-husband.
Given the surname Harvey, Cecil struggled to find his place in a Baron who could not accept that he, a strange little child, was the defacto heir to the throne. Coddled by Matthew Farrell, Richard Highwind (to a lesser extent), Devon Monroe, and Thomas himself, Cecil soon found that he didn't prefer the life of a prince and joined the military school at ten. He quickly advanced a full year because of his uncanny ability. In this same year he met and befriended Matthew and Richard's children, Rosa Farrell (9) and Kain Highwind (11).
He sailed happily under the radar until he was just fifteen when he was kidnapped by a militant Troian group called Briar Rose. He was held hostage in a border city called Petuin. Desperate, Thomas sent a group of elite soldiers and magi to find and rescue him. This unit consisted of; Richard Highwind, Matthew Farrell, Darias Baigan II (Baigan's adult son), Lucille Highwind, and Devon Monroe. Of this group only Devon was allowed to live, because one of the sisters of the Briar Rose member was the prostitute who had borne his half Troian daughter, Kalintha (Kali). The rest were murdered in front of Cecil. A woman who worked for the Troians, a Baroni woman, felt bad for Cecil and loosed the bonds on his chaffing wrists one day. Able to overpower her, he stole her husband's sword. Unfortunately, her husband was a Dark Knight and the Darkness overtook him. Under its influence, he slaughter the group, but when he came to himself he despaired and tried to end his own life. However, he lost conciousness from shock before he could do so.
The young man spent several weeks in a catatonic state, and when he woke he was not the same person he had been. Cecil Harvey had been broken by the Darkness; bonds he had made previously meant nothing to him, and if the sword was taken from him he woudl break down and try to kill himself once more. Forced to renounce his surrogate son's status as heir, Thomas did the only thing left to him. He sent Cecil to Necrograd, the Dark Knight City, were he was placed under the care of Dark Knight Captain of Johanson in hopes that he would recover.
Cecil spent two years in Necrograd training to become a Dark Knight. Remarkably skilled and away from the distraction of his best friends, he was able to recieve full marks in a matter of two years. Along the way he befriended twenty year old Dark Knight trainees Lawerence Dane and Timothy "Tibbs" Tibble. Noted by Thomas, who wanted Cecil close to him once more, he was commissioned to be the new Lord Captain of the Red Wings after the resignation of the old Lord Captain. Cecil returned to Baron's capital, Vangrad, where he was reuntied with Kain and Rosa, as well as other friends such as Kali Monroe. He preformed his duties quietly until early into his twentieth year, when the events of Gaelach Brethie (Final Fantasy IV) begin to unfold.
After Gaelach, Cecil married Rosa farrel and had a child whom they named Annabelle Cecilia Harvey.
He still lives in Baron, ruling with his wife.

This is the way Paladin Cecil appears to look in the Gaelach Universe. As you can see, his hair is longer and his colors are... well...

It's not quite done yet. I need to add effects and shading. What I do have done took me most of last night. Coloring is a rather difficult thing. It's funny, it actually looks better to me now than it did last night.

The back of his cape is white. It's something I infered from earlier Amano drawings. It's the same reason I made the side facing the viewer red. I wanted to use less blue because the Nomura and DS redesigns have too much blue for my personal tastes. As you can see, Cecil's hair is still silver, but, true to his sprites, it has a bluish tint, evident in the shadows. I can't wait to finish Theodore! That way I'll have both of the brothers. After that, I want to draw KluYa.

Oh, a side note, the pattern on his arms is supposed to look like chain mail. Its as close as I could get. I'm going to add shading with the burn tool.
This drawing, when I'm finished with it, will be his profile picture.
